Our story
Inspired by legendary events like Folsom Street Fair, Off Sunset Festival, and Darklands, Kink Down South Weekend is the South’s only large-scale outdoor kink festival, bringing together fetish enthusiasts for a weekend of liberation, exploration, and community. Our goal is simple – to expand access to kink resources in the south and build a weekend event that makes kink accessible for those living the south.
Kink Down South Weekend is more than an event—it’s a declaration of resilience, visibility, and unapologetic joy.
This is where we elevate our community, turning our heroes into legends and our culture into a movement. This is where we reclaim our space, not just to exist—but to thrive, to play, and to own our freedom.

Kink Down South Weekend is looking for passionate LGBTQ+ kink instructors to share their knowledge and expertise! Your wisdom inspires, educates, and ignites curiosity, helping new and experienced kinksters explore and refine their favorite ways to play.
We’re looking for a balance of 101, 201, and expert-level classes.
WHERE IS KDS WEEKEND HAPPENING?
KDS continues to adapt and grow with based on your feedback, so we are increasing the overall size of our festival venue and offering a wider variety of spaces. KDS Weekend 2026 will be hosted at 535 Means Street, a 30,000 sq. ft. event space and progressive art museum in the historic Westside corridor.
The venue focuses on supporting minority and queer voices, allowing us to ensure our operational funds support those who support our community – and create a more diverse layout for you to explore all weekend long!
