Board Of AdVisors
It takes a small army of kinksters to make Kink Down South’s events happen! A core principle that David and Pup Urban wanted when KDS grew was to bring together a Board of Advisors from across the Southeast to help guide and expand their vision. The Board of Advisors helps bridge the gap between lived experiences so that when we plan and build our events, it’s more than just through the lens of our own lives – but from the shared experiences of kinksters across the various spectrums of life.

David was introduced to the Atlanta leather scene in 2013, taking many steps forward (and back) along the way. He is a self-described alpha-sub leatherboy, and as co-founder and executive producer of Kink Down South, he plays a leading role in the community’s fetish event scene.
Though an introvert by nature, David strives to share his knowledge, encourage personal growth, and support others navigating their own journey in the leather and kink community. Beyond event production, his work as a contest emcee and conference presenter continues to amplify his commitment to community engagement.
Following the closure of too many LGBTQ+ Atlanta institutions, David was compelled, together with his friend Pup Urban, to salvage what aspects of the kink and leather scene they could, and revitalize it into something even better. Thus, what eventually became known as Kink Down South was born!
David’s fetish interests include power exchange, formal leather, rope bondage, and impact play.

Urban was introduce to kink back during Atlanta Leather Pride in 2011, shortly after moving back to Atlanta. When a long time crush invited him to the Heretic one night and suggested he try on a harness…his love for leather began.
Having spent the past 13 years working as an activist in various roles for the LGBTQ+ community, he wanted to turn his attention to his passion for kink. After the closing of the original Atlanta Eagle location, he felt that it was time to get involved to support more queer business.
Together with David and a few bourbon on the rocks, they hatched a plan for a Gear Night happy hour and thus, the seeds were planted for what would become Kink Down South!
Urban’s passion for kink extends to ensure there will always be safe spaces for people to learn and grow in their sexual identities, regardless of their gender, orientation, creed, ability, national origin, or the color of their skin.
