MASTERCLASS | Tying Together: Rope Bondage Foundations

Following up on their 2024 class 'One Long Rope', Tom (Thiktool) and Zed (Toolboi) return to 'Kink Down South' with a focused, hands-on rope bondage masterclass. As rope partners in kink and in life, Tom and Zed offer a collaborative teaching style that centers connection, safety, and consent.
This class is designed for beginner to intermediate kink practitioners who want to build confidence with rope through clear technique and intentional partnership. Participants will learn a foundational single-column tie and explore how to integrate it into a simple chest or body harness. Along the way, Tom and Zed will share insights from their own rope journey, with an emphasis on communication, negotiation, and building trust in dynamic rope play.
No prior rope experience is required. Just bring curiosity and a willingness to engage. Some rope will be available to borrow, but participants are encouraged to bring their own. Come solo or with a partner. All bodies and relationship configurations are welcome.

Just bring a towel, a mat, and an open mind—limited mats will be available to borrow.

How do we know when to apologize and when to stand our ground? When is a boundary appropriate and when does it cross the line into controlling behavior toward the other person? This class starts with a list of basic human rights when in a relationship, and authentic consent in relationship agreements. From there, it's easy to determine when we are acting within our rights, and when we are overstepping. You'll leave with handouts and concrete skills for using them.
